Located right next door to Wicker Park, Bucktown is like a laid-back brother to that hipster enclave. This largely residential area features many modern walk-ups and two- and three-flats tucked between the bustling businesses of Milwaukee Avenue and the gear-grinding gridlock on the Kennedy Expressway.

Bars and art galleries abound here, with the annual Bucktown Arts Fest drawing more than 30,000 visitors each year. If you're a struggling artist still searching for your muse, this is a good spot to finally track her down.
