As the name implies, Buena Park is a nice place. Conveniently wedged between the diverse neighborhoods of Lincoln Park, Lakeview and Uptown, Buena Park was home to the upper crust in turn-of-the-century Chicago. Though it still houses many vintage buildings, new construction is revitalizing the area on a daily basis.
For the active crowd, Buena Park borders the sprawling majesty of Lincoln Park's many running paths and outdoor activities. For the slightly more morbid set, this is also the home of Graceland Cemetery, one of Chicago's genuine marvels. As the final resting place of many of the city's founding fathers and mothers, this is a cavalcade of insanely ornate headstones and mausoleums. Even in death, these captains of industry didn't stop trying to top each other.
