Humboldt Park
This neighborhood's namesake is one of the Chicago Park District's proudest creations, covering more than ten square blocks and boasting multiple running paths and athletic fields, as well as the city's only fishable lagoon.
The area surrounding the park has undergone major changes in recent years, seeing a small boom in rehabbed and new construction condos and two- and three-flats. Home to the city's largest population of Puerto Rican-Americans, Humboldt Park plays host to a number of highly anticipated cultural events, including the annual Puerto Rican Film Festival and several outdoor festivals along Division Street's famous Paseo Boricua business corridor.
