Lincoln Square itself is a lovely spread of small shops and eateries with a marked old school flavor, whether you're looking for classic wooden toys, obscure jazz records or vintage clothing.

Brown Line el trains place the area within moments of the bustling Loop and Lakeview areas, but plenty of Ravenswood residents would just as soon stay home.
