New East Side
"I've got a little place in The Loop." It just sounds so impressive. Anyone who can use that phrase clearly has a lot of balls in the air at any given time. This is where the movers and shakers live, the folks who work in the Sears Tower or the Loop's many government buildings, or watch the tickers at the Chicago Board of Trade. It's also host to a number of colleges, like the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Roosevelt University.
This is where you'll find the famous Grant Park, home to Buckingham Fountain and a staggering number of summer festivals, from Taste of Chicago to Blues Fest to Movies in the Park. And leave us not forget the city's newest crown jewel, Millennium Park. If you haven't spent any time lingering under that giant, reflective bean (formally known as Cloud Gate), you haven't done Chicago proper.
