West Rogers Park

Chicago's northernmost neighborhood is one of its most diverse, with a swath of restaurants and cultural events representing dozens of nations. From Mexican record stores on Clark to Indian boutiques and Russian delis on Devon, Rogers Park is as good an illustration of the American melting pot as one could hope to find.

Many Loyola University students call this neighborhood home, with a multitude of affordable courtyard and mid-rise buildings in easy walking distance from the school. The Rogers Park lake front is dotted with small beaches both public and private, making it a hot destination for crowd-hating sunbathers.
