St. Bens is a great spot to settle into when you feel like some peace and quiet. This largely residential sports plenty of lush foliage and unassuming living spaces, largely single-family homes and brick two- and three-flats. Small shops and markets provide residents with necessities and the nightlife is more or less limited to whatever's going on at the corner pub.
Much of St. Bens' west edge is devoted to city parks. Horner Park is one of the North Side's largest, home to multiple football, soccer, basketball, softball and tennis facilities. Horner Park also offers a wide range of ongoing classes and activities where adults and kids alike can hone skills in everything from woodworking to piano to acting.
